My Favorite Beauty Products

Take a peek inside my beauty bag to find out some of my favorite beauty products. I also share my makeup organization secret and a travel essential I can’t live without away from home. Read on to discover my monthly beauty favorites for February.

01 // KARIN HERZOG ESSENTIAL MASK: I like to use the Karin Herzog Essential Mask when I am flying. This deeply hydrating mask leaves the skin immediately feeling plumped, refreshed and radiant. Formulated with 2% active oxygen and retinol, it provides an immediate lifting and toning effect while reducing visible signs of fatigue and age. For best results, apply with a brush to avoid absorption of active ingredients through fingertips. I like to leave the Karin Herzog Essential Mask on overnight after exfoliation with the Karin Herzog Mild Scrub. Ingredients include 2% Oxygen, Essential Oils of Grapefruit, Mandarin, Orange and Apricot, and Retinol. The Swiss line of products developed by Dr. Paul Herzog are some of my favorite skin care products. Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton is a fan of the skin care line.

02 //  EVO FABULOSO: EVO Fabuloso is the BEST colour maintaining product I’ve ever used. The conditioner is available in six different shades. I use the light beige colour enhancing conditioner. The conditioner provides an instant hair color combined with a nourishing treatment to condition, repair, add shine, instantly tone and intensify hair color all within just 3 minutes. The product does not contain ammonia or peroxide and is gentle on the hair and scalp.

03 //  SATIN SERENITY TRAVEL PILLOW: The Satin Serenity Travel Pillow is one of my travel essentials since most hotel pillows are uncomfortable. Sleeping on a satin pillowcase also provides anti-aging, skin and hair benefits. The pillowcases are also sold in other sizes.

04 //  SORME BELIEVABLE FINISH POWDER FOUNDATION: Sorme products are used by Carrie Underwood’s makeup artist, Melissa Schleicher. I wear the pure beige powder to set my foundation. The silky product provides beautiful, flawless coverage while hydrating and rejuvenating my skin. The ingredients include active plant botanicals, natural minerals, healing vitamins and peptides.

05 //  YERBA DRY BRUSH: Dry brushing is my secret weapon against cellulite. I love the Yerba dry brush kit. I use the smaller brush for travel and the large brush for at home use. Dry brushing removes dead skin, improves circulation and cell renewal, which boosts lymphatic drainage and releases toxins. Dry skin brushing is one of the best ways to cleanse the skin without removing the protective mantle of acid and oils. It gently and effectively removes the top layer of dead skin cells with its build-up of dirt and acid, and deeply cleanses the pores.

06 // YS PARK GOLD HAIR PIN: I like styling my hair in updo’s for special occasions and sometimes when I’m working on an airplane. A lot of hair pins are really flimsy and bend when you use them. The bigger hair pins are usually made of plastic and look cheap. This four inch brass “U” pin can hold the longest, thickest and heaviest hair. I love that I can get all of my hair up with one pin, in a messy bun or sleek chignon, in seconds.

07 // DIPTYQUE PHILOSYKOS EAU DE PARFUM: I am a huge fan of Diptyque products. My favorite Diptyque fragrance is Philosykos. It smells incredible, and I always receive compliments when I wear it.

08 // QTICA INTENSE OVERNIGHT HAND REPAIR BALM: Before I polish my nails, I use the Qtica Intense Overnight Hand Repair. The product removes dead skin and makes my hands feel soft. The rich, thick balm soothes severely dry, irritated and cracked hands with an intense formula of honey, beeswax, essential oil and vitamins A, C, and E. Anti-aging Retinol Palmitate softens fine lines and speeds cellular renewal so hands never betray age.  For best results, use a pea-sized amount. Make sure your hands are very dry. Massage hands for a few minutes and apply a little more product around the cuticles. Follow-up by massaging cuticle oil into your cuticles. Place hands in a warm towel for a few minutes then remove the product. It can also be used on your feet.

09 // SHERRI BLOSSOM ICEBOX MAKEUP ORGANIZER: A makeup organizer is an absolute necessity for storing and organizing beauty products. You may have seen the ICEbOX organizers on Keeping Up With the Kardashians and Real Housewives. This brand is more expensive than some of the knock off brands. I prefer to pay more for something that will last a long time and not something that will fall apart and come unglued. The drawers also tend to jam up with frequent use on cheaper versions. One of the cheaper versions tipped over when I was opening one of the drawers and all of my products fell out making a huge mess. The ICEbOX organizer also looks beautiful with all of my makeup displayed. This is definitely a great investment piece.

10 // FACE ATELIER ULTRA MATT:  Since I live in Florida, I use Ultra Matt to prevent oil from ruining my makeup application. Ultra Matt reduces shine and keeps my makeup perfect for long-lasting flawless results.  Hold Ultra Matte 12 to 14 inches away from your face when spraying and only spray once on each side of the face. Ultra Matte is fragrance free and 100% vegan.

    1. I heard about it from Kimberly Snyder. Check out her blog. She shares so much good information. She also has a new book coming out soon.
