Health and Wellness Gift Guide

Give the Gift of Wellness

I believe giving the gift of health and wellness is one of the best gifts to give someone. My health and wellness gift guide includes products I use or have on my wish list.

I also recommend giving experience gifts. Some ideas include a massage, nutrition class, gluten-free cooking class, facial, or a gym membership.

I hope you find some inspiration for your gift giving.

Happy, healthy, shopping!

1.   Norwalk Juicer is the best juicer on the market. Green juice is an excellent way to get nutrients into your body. The Norwalk is a cold pressed juicer. It is pricey but comes with a twelve-year warranty.

2.   At Home in the Whole Food Kitchen by Amy Chaplin is my favorite new cookbook. Amy Chaplin shares her tips for stocking a healthy pantry and 150 healthy mostly gluten-free recipes that are easy to prepare. One of the most popular recipes in the book is the chocolate pots de creme.

3.   Spiralizer is one of my favorite kitchen tools. It makes all kinds of veggies into noodles and thin slices that cook faster. The veggie noodles are healthier than gluten-free noodles that are full of processed grains.

4.   A Golden Monogram Mug is a lovely gift. I use mine for drinking warm water with lemon every morning.

5.   Plenty More by Yottum Ottolenghi is a visually stunning cookbook featuring 150 mouth-watering vegetable recipes. Yottum is a celebrated London chef with several best-selling cookbooks including JerusalemPlenty, and Ottolenghi.

6.   Nikki’s Coconut Butter is a delicious treat available in several flavors including macadamia nut butter, cake batter, and pumpkin spiced donut. Coconut butter is used in place of almond butter or peanut butter. The paleo and gluten-free foodie will love this product.

7.   Staub is my personal favorite dutch oven. The Staub is my bean, soup, braising and risotto pot. I prefer Staub because the inside of the pot does not stain like Le Creuset. I used Le Creuset for a long time and recently switched to a Staub dutch oven and love it. I highly recommend investing in a Staub, Le Creuset or a Emile Henry dutch oven and not waste your money on an imitation model.

8.   The Nourished Kitchen: Farm-to-Table Recipes for the Traditional Foods Lifestyle features recipes such as bone broths, fermented vegetables, raw dairy and kombuchas. The author is Jennifer McGruther of the award-winning blog Nourished Kitchen

9.   Kimberly Snyder’s Signature Sauna is an at home sauna that helps open your cells and gently release toxins, raise your core body temperature and improve your circulation. It also helps with cellulite reduction. The half sauna has heaters that are directly targeted at your high cellulite areas like your thighs, hips, and belly as well as your lower legs. The half sauna is ideal for protecting your skin and hair from dry heat which is not good for the delicate skin on the face and heat damages hair.

10.  Trigger Point Mini Foam Travel Grid features a three-dimensional surface that allows tissue to aerate while you roll, promoting the flow of blood and oxygen—the nutrients needed to repair muscles. The travel size version makes a wonderful gift for the fitness lover.

11.  Jawbone UP24 will track activity and sleep. Unlike similar fitness bands, the Jawbone lasts two weeks on a single charge.

12.  Yonanas makes frozen bananas into delicious dairy free ice-cream.

13.  Stainless Steel Straws make green smoothies taste colder. I love these straws so much I pack them in my food bag for my trips.

14.  Vitamix S30 Personal Blender is smaller and less expensive than the original version. It is the best blender for making green smoothies. They also have refurbished ones you can buy that are less expensive but still work great. If I could have just one appliance in my kitchen, this would be it!

What about you? What are some of your favorite wellness products?
