It is no secret a strong immune system is the key to staying well. A healthy immune system starts in the gut.
I do not believe in taking a lot of supplements. I believe eating healthy foods is the best source for vitamins and nutrients.
I do believe some supplements are necessary and beneficial.
As a flight attendant, I often work at night, travel across multiple time zones, and experience jet lag. My exposure to radiation in space is very high. My risk of exposure to airborne viruses and bacteria are also very high. For these reasons, it is crucial that I have a healthy and strong immune system.
I contracted Chickenpox as an adult. I believe the virus triggered many issues that resulted from a weak immune system. I continued to get frequent sinus infections and viruses. I also had food allergies and fatigue.
After several years of getting sick all the time, I knew I had to make some changes. I started drinking green smoothies. I stopped eating gluten. I cut back on consuming dairy products. I also started supplementing daily.
I no longer have sinus infections. I rarely get sick anymore. I feel better not consuming gluten. Acne and other issues are non-existent if I stop consuming dairy products.
